Doodle Coats, Done Right
Doodles have the most demanding coats in the dog world. We specialize in Goldendoodle, Labradoodle, and Bernedoodle grooming — scissor-perfect cuts that hold up to Florida weather.
Popular Styles
Wellington's Favorite Doodle Cuts
Teddy Bear Cut
One even length all over with a rounded, plush face — the classic doodle look Wellington loves.
Puppy Cut
Short, low-maintenance length that keeps doodles cool in the Florida heat and easy to brush between grooms.
Kennel / Sport Cut
Very short all over for active dogs who swim, hike, and play hard — less matting, less maintenance.
Why It Matters
Why Doodles Need a Specialist Groomer
Doodle coats combine a soft undercoat with a longer topcoat, which means they mat quickly — especially in South Florida humidity, after swimming, or behind a collar. Mats aren't just ugly: they pull painfully at the skin and can hide hot spots and infections.
Chain groomers often respond by shaving doodles down, destroying the coat that owners love. At Puppyarazzi we demat patiently, preserve the coat whenever possible, and teach you the brushing routine that keeps your doodle fluffy between visits.
Every doodle groom includes a thorough bath with coat-appropriate products, a full blow-dry (critical for preventing damp-coat mats), scissor finish work, nails, and ears.
Doodle Grooming Questions, Answered
How often should a doodle be groomed?
Every 4–6 weeks for a full groom, with brushing at home 2–3 times per week. Doodle coats mat easily, and a consistent schedule keeps them comfortable and healthy.
What is the best haircut for my doodle?
It depends on lifestyle. Active Florida doodles do best with a puppy or sport cut; if you love the fluffy look, a teddy bear cut with a strict brushing routine works. We'll recommend based on your dog's coat and your routine.
My doodle is matted. Will you have to shave him?
Not always. We demat gently whenever possible and only clip short when matting is too tight to brush out safely. Shaving down is a last resort — we'll always show you the mats first.
How long does doodle grooming take?
Usually 2–3 hours for a full groom. Doodle coats need extra time for bathing, drying, and scissoring — that's why rushed chain-grooming doesn't work for doodles.
Do you groom doodles of all sizes?
Yes — from mini Bernedoodles to standard Goldendoodles. Pricing is based on size and coat condition; call (561) 429-5589 for a quote.
